Labor Support Doula
Alternative Birth Care provides labor support / birth doula services in Massachusetts & Southern NH. A birth doula assists a pregnant woman during labor and birth in a hospital or birth center by providing physical and emotional support, and letting her know about her options. Studies have shown a decrease in length of labor, interventions and cesarean sections. Mothers also report an increase in satisfaction with their birth. This contributes to more successful breastfeeding and more relaxed parenting.
